Important Notice

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Epic Life platform.

In addition, if you participate in our “Win a Wearable” Prize Draw Promotion, please read Section 11 carefully, as it contains specific terms and conditions that apply to this promotion.

 

Welcome to Epic Life

At Epic Life, we're committed to transparency and clarity. These Terms of Service ("Terms") explain what you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you use our website, mobile application, health intelligence services, and other offerings (collectively, the "Service").

When you use Epic Life, you're entering into a legal agreement with Ampk Labs Limited, registered in England under company number 15491223, trading under the brand name Epic Life ("Epic Life," "we," "us," or "our"). By continuing to use our Service, you agree to these Terms. If these Terms don't work for you, please don't use our Service.

  4. We will maintain high security standards to protect your data

1. Our Service

1.1 Epic Life Membership

Epic Life Application Membership:

  • Ongoing access to our mobile application which provides:
    • Access to health scores, and wearables data, updated on a continuous basis.
    • Access to blood biomarker test results initially generated at the start of your membership and updated no less frequently than annually.
    • Continuous access to your Health Intelligence companion, an AI driven conversational tool that provides explanations, actions and insights for personalised and preventative healthcare

Blood biomarker tests:

  • In order to provide you with your blood biomarker test results, you will need to supply the necessary blood samples to our accredited third party lab service
  • This can be done via an at home nurse visit, or by booking an appointment at one of our testing sites.
  • The lab runs the tests and generates the results which are provided in the Epic Life application when complete.
  • As and when you cease to be an Epic Life member, Epic life will no longer have access to your blood test data.

Wearables data:

  • In order to access your wearables data through the Epic Life Application you will need to successfully complete our onboarding process, granting access to the data to Epic Life for use in the Epic Life application
  • As and when you cease to be an Epic Life member, Epic life will no longer have access to your wearables data.

 

1.2 Important Health Disclaimer: Not Medical Advice

Epic Life is a health intelligence service designed to provide information and insights about your health and wellbeing. However:

  • We do not identify allergies, intolerances, or medical conditions
  • Our Service is NOT a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment
  • We do NOT provide medical services, clinical diagnostics, or healthcare and our application does not qualify as a medical device
  • No doctor-patient relationship is created through use of our Service
  • Our insights and recommendations are informational only
  • Our fees are for non-medical services and our Service does not make use of any publicly insured services.

Always consult qualified healthcare providers for:

  • Medical questions or concerns
  • Detailed interpretation of test results
  • Diagnosis or treatment of health conditions
  • Changes to medications or treatment plans
  • Emergency medical situation

In case of a medical emergency, call emergency services immediately.

By using Epic Life, you acknowledge and agree that you understand these limitations and will seek appropriate medical care when needed.

 

1.3 Service Limitations

You acknowledge and agree that:

  • Our Service may evolve over time, with features being added, modified, or removed
  • Service availability may be affected by factors outside our control
  • We cannot guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, or error-free
  • We reserve the right to suspend or terminate the Service for maintenance, updates, or other operational reasons
  • Blood biomarker test results are typically provided within 1 week from collection, but unexpected delays may occur
  • Blood biomarker tests may occasionally fail despite proper sample collection, in which case we may request additional blood samples be taken.

 

2. Using Our Service

2.1 Eligibility Requirements

To use our Service, you must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age
  • Have a home address in the United Kingdom
  • Not be pregnant
  • Not have had a heart attack, stroke, major surgery or other significant health events in the last six months
  • If being treated for an eating disorder, anorexia or bulimia or a psychotic disorder, have checked with your treating physician that this service is safe for you
  • If being treated for any chronic medical condition (including type 1 or type 2 diabetes, chronic kidney disease, cancer), have checked with your treating physician that this Service is safe for you
  • Provide and use your own wearables device from our supported list of wearables device brands which includes Apple Watch, Google Pixel and Fitibit, Garmin, Oura and Withings
  • Provide access to your wearables data, setup during the onboarding process
  • Provide blood samples for blood biomarker testing during the onboarding process, and no less frequently than annually.

Please discuss your use of this platform with your doctor if you are under specialist medical care or become under specialist medical care.

2.2 Account Creation and Security

When you create an account, you agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information about yourself
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Keep your password secure and confidential
  • Accept responsibility for all activities that occur under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorised use of your account
  • Not share your account with anyone else

We reserve the right to disable any user account at any time if, in our opinion, you have failed to comply with these Terms.

 

3. Membership and Payment

3.1 Membership Terms
  • Your membership will start on the date set out when you place your order..
  • Your initial membership term will be for 12 months.
3.2 Payment Processing
  • Payments are processed securely through our third-party payment processors
  • By providing payment information, you represent that you are authorised to use the payment method
  • You agree to pay all charges incurred by your account at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred
  • All fees are inclusive of VAT and other applicable taxes
  • We reserve the right to change our pricing with at least 30 days' notice before the start of a new membership period
3.3 Automatic Renewal
  • Your membership will automatically renew at the end of each membership term
  • We will notify you before each renewal
  • You authorise us to collect the then-applicable membership fee using your chosen payment method
  • If you wish to cancel your membership, you must do so before the renewal date

 

4. Your Data and Privacy

4.1 How We Handle Your Data

We collect and process your personal data as necessary to provide our Service. This includes account information, wearables data, blood test results, and other health-related information.

Our complete data practices, including what we collect, how we use it, and your rights, are detailed in our Privacy Policy. Please review it carefully.

4.2 Health Data and Consent

Our Service is fundamentally based on analysing your health data to provide personalised insights. While we process most personal data on the basis of performing our contract with you, health data requires additional protection under data protection laws.

For this reason:

  • We require your explicit consent to process your health data
  • This consent is requested during registration and onboarding
  • You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting privacy@epiclife.com
  • However, because health data processing is essential to our Service, withdrawing consent means we can no longer provide the Service to you

We're committed to handling your health data securely and responsibly. See our Privacy Policy for detailed information about how we protect and process this sensitive information.

4.3 Data Security

We take comprehensive measures to protect your data from unauthorised access, loss, or misuse. These include encryption, access controls, and regular security assessments.

4.4 Third-Party Services

Our Service integrates with third parties to provide core functionality, including wearables connectivity, laboratory testing, payment processing and cloud service providers. When using our Service, your data may be shared with these providers as necessary to deliver the Service. Our Privacy Policy provides details about these integrations and related data sharing.

4.5 Research

With your explicit consent, which you may change at any time, we may use de-identified data for:

  • Research into nutrition, health, and wellness
  • Research into preventative health care insights and action plans

 

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Intellectual Property

Epic Life owns or has the right to use all intellectual property associated with the Service, including:

  • Trademarks, logos, and brand features
  • Copyrights in all content, design, and code
  • Patents and proprietary technology
  • Algorithms and analytical methodologies
5.2 Limited License

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, and revocable license to use our Service for personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms.

 

6. User Rights and Responsibilities

6.1 What You Can Do

As an Epic Life member, you can:

  • Access and use our Service for your personal health and wellness needs
  • Connect supported wearable devices to enhance your experience
  • Receive personalised health insights and recommendations
  • Participate in our community features where available
  • Provide feedback to help us improve
6.2 What We Ask You Not To Do

You agree not to:

  • Service Misuse:
    • Use the Service for any illegal purpose
    • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or other users' accounts
    • Interfere with the proper functioning of the Service
    • Upload or transmit viruses, malware, or other harmful code
    • Impersonate any person or entity or misrepresent your affiliation
  • Content Restrictions:
    • Share medical guidance that could be harmful
    • Post any offensive, discriminatory, or inappropriate content
    • Promote commercial products without authorisation
    • Share confidential information about other members
  • Intellectual Property:
    • Modify, create derivative works from, or reverse engineer any part of our Service
    • Copy, distribute, or exploit our content for commercial purposes
    • Remove any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
    • Use our name, logo, or branding without permission

We take these restrictions seriously and reserve the right to terminate access for violations.

 

7. Membership Changes, Cancellation, and Termination

7.1 Cancellation by You

You may cancel your membership as follows:

  • Before Blood Biomarker Test Collection:
    • Full refund minus administrative charges
    • Cancellation of membership within 24 hours of receipt
  • After Blood Biomarker Test Collection:
    • No refund - you will still receive your blood biomarker test results
    • Your membership will be canceled after the results delivery or cancellation date, whichever comes last.

To cancel, contact us at cancellations@epiclife.co. When your cancellation is confirmed your membership will end.

7.2 Membership Suspension and Pausing

In certain circumstances, you may be eligible to temporarily pause your membership:

  • During pregnancy
  • During serious illness or medical treatment
  • While traveling for extended periods
  • Other circumstances at our discretion

During a pause, your access to the Service will be limited, but your data will be preserved.

7.3 Termination by Epic Life

We may terminate or suspend your membership without notice if:

  • You breach any of these Terms
  • We are required to do so by law
  • You no longer meet our eligibility criteria
  • You present complex health needs we cannot appropriately support
  • We discontinue the Service
7.4 Effects of Cancellation or Termination

When your membership ends:

  • Your access to the Service will cease and you should delete the application from your devices
  • We will handle your personal data as outlined in our Privacy Policy
  • Any accrued obligations will remain in effect
  • You will not receive refunds for past periods of service
7.5 Discretionary Refunds/Extensions

In exceptional circumstances, Epic Life may, at its sole discretion, provide:

  • Partial or full refunds
  • Membership extensions
  • Alternative arrangements

Examples include development of health conditions that affect eligibility or medical advice against continuation. Contact hello@epiclife.co to discuss your situation.

 

8. Legal Framework

8.1 Disclaimers

While we strive to provide a high-quality service:

  • The Service is provided "as is" and "as available"
  • We cannot guarantee the Service will always be error-free or uninterrupted
  • We do not warrant that the results will meet your requirements or expectations
  • Technical issues may occasionally affect the accuracy or availability of certain features
8.2 Limitation of Liability

Epic Life is not liable for any harm, injury, or adverse health outcomes that may result from following insights, recommendations, or information provided through our Service. You acknowledge that our Service provides general health intelligence, not medical advice, and that you are solely responsible for consulting appropriate healthcare professionals before making health decisions based on information from our Service.

To the extent permitted by law:

  • Epic Life is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
  • Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding any claim
  • We are not responsible for third-party services integrated with our Service, including laboratory testing partners who process your samples and data. While we carefully select these partners and establish appropriate data processing agreements, we cannot guarantee their systems against all possible security incidents
  • We are not liable for events outside our reasonable control

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits our liability for:

  • Death or personal injury caused by our negligence
  • Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
  • Any other liability that cannot be excluded under UK law
8.3 Your Responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service in accordance with these Terms
  • Provide accurate information
  • Protect your account credentials
  • Not misuse the Service in ways that could harm others
8.4 Governing Law and Disputes
  • These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales
  • Any disputes will be heard exclusively in the courts of England
  • Your statutory consumer rights under UK law are not affected
  • We encourage resolving concerns through our complaints process before legal action
8.5 Relationship Between Documents
  • These Terms, along with our Privacy Policy and any other published policies, form our complete agreement
  • If any provision is found invalid, the remaining provisions stay in effect
  • If we don't enforce a right, that doesn't mean we waive it for the future
8.6 Assignment and Transfers
  • You may not transfer your rights under these Terms to others
  • We may transfer our rights and obligations to others with notice to you
  • This might happen during a company reorganisation or acquisition

 

9. Changes to Terms or Service

9.1 Changes to Terms
  • We may update these Terms from time to time
  • We'll notify you of significant changes through the Service or email
  • Continued use after changes indicates your acceptance
  • For material changes affecting your rights, we'll seek your explicit consent
9.2 Changes to Service

We are constantly evolving our Service and may change or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, including features, functionality, or content.

9.3 Communication
  • We'll communicate with you primarily through the application and email
  • Please keep your contact information current
  • You can contact us using the information in Section 12

 

10. Getting in Touch & Resolving Issues

At Epic Life, we value your feedback and aim to resolve any concerns quickly.

If you have questions or complaints:

  1. Contact us at complaints@epiclife.co with details about your concern
  2. We'll acknowledge receipt within 2 business days
  3. A member of our team will investigate and respond within 10 business days
  4. If you're not satisfied, you can request escalation to senior management

 

11. Prize Draw Terms: “Win a Wearable” Promotion

11.1 Eligibility
  • Open to UK residents aged 18+.
  • Employees, contractors, and immediate family members of Ampk Labs Limited (trading as Epic Life) are not eligible.
  • No purchase necessary.
11.2 How to Enter
  • Entry is automatic when you sign up to the Epic Life waitlist.
  • Each successful referral (friend who signs up using your unique link) counts as one additional entry.
  • Unlimited entries allowed through referrals.
11.3 Prizes

The following prizes are available (one prize per winner):

  • Apple Watch SE
  • Apple Watch Series 11
  • Google Pixel Watch 3.0
  • Fitbit Sense 2.0
  • Oura Ring Gen 4

Prizes are subject to availability. Epic Life reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value if necessary. No cash alternative will be offered.

11.4 Draw and Odds of Winning
  • The Prize Draw will take place and winners will be announced during Christmas week 2025, starting 21st December.
  • A minimum of 500 eligible entries is required for the draw to proceed. If this minimum is not met, Epic Life may extend the entry period or cancel the promotion.
  • Winners will be chosen at random under independent supervision.
  • The approximate odds of winning are 1 in 500, but actual odds will depend on the total number of entries and referrals.
  • Your chances of winning improve with each additional referral you make, since every successful referral counts as an extra entry.
11.5 Notification and Claiming Prizes
  • Winners will be notified by email within 14 days of the draw announcement.
  • Winners must claim their prize within 3 months of notification. If not claimed, the prize will be forfeited and Epic Life may, at its discretion, select an alternative winner or withdraw the prize.
  • Prizes will be delivered free of charge to a UK address only.
11.6 Publicity
  • By entering, you consent to Epic Life using your first name and town/city in winner announcements, unless you request anonymity.
11.7 General
  • Epic Life reserves the right to cancel, suspend, or amend the Prize Draw due to unforeseen circumstances.
  • By entering, you agree to these Prize Draw Terms, which form part of the overall Epic Life Terms of Service.
